March is here and there is a whole lot to celebrate in Los Feliz!

The one and only Democracy of Ham an’ Eggs, The Los Angeles Breakfast Club turns 100 this month. Host Phil Leirness commemorates the milestone by heading over to Friendship Auditorium on Riverside Drive for chats with club technical director Eric Kurland (the founder and director of 3-D Space) and club President Mickey Corcoran. Phil also treats you to 100 years of Breakfast Club audio in a little more than eleven minutes!

After celebrating breakfast, it seemed only fitting that we celebrate lunch and dinner, so Phil sits down at Palermo Italian Restaurant on Vermont Ave. with local icon Tony Fanara. Palermo is going to be celebrating 50 years of feeding Los Feliz residents, so it is definitely a good time to get better acquainted with the man behind this local institution.

In April, Skylight Theatre will be hosting the first annual Los Feliz Film Festival. Phil previews this exciting event by speaking to the man spearheading this celebration of cinema and community, Vuk Mitrovic. Phil also checks in with Los Feliz Neighborhood Council member, Cultural Affairs Committee member, and Business Improvement District stalwart, Céline Vacher. They discuss the film festival, the Cultural Affairs Committee AND the abandoned eyesore that most recently was Public House (and even that was quite a few years ago now).

As ever, Phil receives much-needed support from announcer Marc Hershon and musical director Jon Lawlor.
